We like to call ourselves foodies and we love trying new places. Before we went to San Diego we watched a lot of YouTube to check out what places to visit. Kiko's kept coming up so we definitely wanted to try. Well, I can tell you why it's mentioned so many times! It was AMAZING food and amazing service. You can tell they put so much love into their dishes. I Mean, look at the presentation on the Ceviche. It's beautiful... and delicious! We were given a great little soup while we waited for our food and I think that was a very nice little touch. I got the OG taco and it was delicious as well. Perfectly sized and the right amount of garnish. If you find yourself hungry, GO TO KIKOS!
Better than SEX! WOW everything in this cup was so fresh and tender. There salsa and pickled onion in it was so amazing. Keep up the good work
Actually insane. Everything’s a flavor and texture bomb. The fish in the OG fish taco is crispy, buttery, flakey—literally a perfect bite with their “Red Sauce” salsa. GET THE KIKOCTELES (pictured is a medium believe-it-or-not) . Filled to the brim with super fresh seafood (tons of shrimp, raw oysters, scallops, etc). The free soup is FIRE. It has so much depth (from roasted shrimp shells?) and is packed with flavor. They also generously give free tostadas and tortilla chips to go with, and don’t forget the salsas and condiments bar. Their marinated peppers and onions are a must try between bites. Super friendly service and great vibes. If you are visiting SD, this is a must go.
Review: A Hidden Sinaloa-Style Taco Gem in San Diego While passing through San Diego on our way home, we stopped to visit family for a few hours. Someone suggested we grab some Sinaloa-style tacos from a food truck nearby — apparently, they were that good. Naturally, we went to check it out. The place was buzzing with people, everyone crowded around folding chairs and picnic tables, eating and laughing — always a good sign. We ordered Angus beef tacos and fried fish tacos. The order came with a consomé, a light broth made from the cooked fish with a few vegetables. And let me tell you — that broth was insane. I’ve never tasted anything like it. It wasn’t salty; it had the perfect blend of spices, rich and savory yet clean. If the broth alone was this good, I couldn’t wait to see what the tacos were like. The beef tacos were so good it was criminal. Tender, perfectly seasoned meat, melted cheese, and fresh pico de gallo on a flavorful corn tortilla. I asked for no guacamole or mayo (just a personal thing), and it didn’t need a thing extra. Though I did add some pickled onions on top, and the flavor just exploded — I swear, I almost wanted to put my head through a concrete wall, it was that amazing. These tacos deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame. The fried fish tacos, according to everyone else, were just as mind-blowing — crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. I didn’t even have to try them to believe it. Honestly, this food truck is a must-visit. It’s tucked somewhere near San Diego University, and it’s a hidden gem that deserves way more attention. Just the broth alone should be on your bucket list — I’m convinced it could cure a cold, maybe even COVID. This place deserves to be famous. Period. The prices are current as of 10/2025.
Had the mixed ceviche orden and 2 baja style fish tacos. SO SO GOOD!!!! Service was excellent, can’t wait to be back
Free seafood soup – super flavorful and fresh! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. • The OG Fish Tacos – Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The fish is perfectly cooked, not dry at all! • Seafood King Tacos – A mix of fish, shrimp, and squid—all incredibly fresh and delicious. The food truck blasts loud Mexican ???????? music, making the vibe absolutely on point!
Crazy good food. It's the only place I've had in Marlin tacos outside of Mexico. The spicy gorvernor taco and the campechana were so excellent. I also have a crush on the cashier who's awesome and helpful. I can't even imagine how much shrimp they go through every day. It's definitely worth a visit it might be the best mariscos troca in SD
11/2024 update: just as good as always. I will keep coming back! Update: came here again before attending a Justin Timberlake concert and the tacos were just as bomb as the first time. The flavors are all on point and they have great tasting salsas to add to the mix. I will definitely be back again next time I'm in San Diego. The staff is very friendly and only added to a great experience. Really good fish tacos. Burrito was hearty and looked phenomenal.
